Frequently asked questions
Is Personal really free?
Yes! Every recipe feature is available on Personal forever. No paywall, no expiration. You can browse, fork, create, version, share, and even publish your recipes. Subscribing to your favorite Creators requires a monthly subscription fee determined by them.
What does Corporate include?
Corporate adds team-account management on top of every Personal feature: role-based access control (RBAC), organization-level recipe attribution, custom company-domain account provisioning (invitees auto-created with your team domain), and SSO. $49/month covers up to 10 users.
What's the Creator Program?
An optional path for creators who want to monetize their recipes. Apply, get approved, link Stripe Connect, and set your own monthly subscription price. RecipeLab takes a 12% platform fee and you keep the other 88%. Personal accounts only (orgs can't enroll).
How does the platform fee work?
Each subscriber pays you the price you set; Stripe collects payment, takes its standard processing fee, and routes 88% of the remainder directly to your linked bank account via Stripe Connect. RecipeLab keeps 12% as the platform fee.
Can I switch later?
Personal accounts can apply to become a creator anytime from the in-app Creator Program page. Personal accounts can't upgrade to Corporate, though. Corporate is a separate account type that has to be registered fresh. Corporate accounts also can't enroll in the Creator Program; that path is personal-only.
